I keep landing between Deep Winter and Deep Summer because the obvious signs do not all point in one direction. There is clear depth in my hair and eyebrows but my eyes are lighter and slightly muted rather than bright. Pure black works in small amounts but feels harsh near my face while charcoal and deep navy are easier. Dusty blue looks calm but sometimes dull so softness alone has not settled the question. I used a deep winter color palette and selected comparable summer shades rather than judging unrelated colors. So far, icy pink seems clearer than mauve but cobalt is much stronger on me than smoky blue. I took the photos in indirect daylight without makeup and kept the camera exposure fixed. Can a Summer have enough natural depth to make Winter seem plausible or do the clearer colors carry more weight than eye softness? Which controlled color pairs would help resolve this before spending money on a professional consultation?
